Hello!

I'm back! I've been standing still on somewhat of a hiatus since the holidays, however the shop is revamped and ready to go with some new photos of some colorful fun books.

I made some cute stickers with a late spring garden theme using some acrylic marker drawings. I think I'm turning into a marker and watercolor artist, slowly but surely.

Before all of this, I've been reading more, drawing more, and learning about what I think about my own art practice and what I want it to be. That includes both art and craft. Some of my quick work is posted on Instagram and TikTok, with possibly (?) more long-term work to come.

Garden Inspo

When it comes to the outdoors, the garden is in full swing. Those of you who know me well know about The Garden. My great love. Winter in the Midwest feels like an eternity, and suddenly I need to sow pumpkins, watermelons, tomatoes, peppers, marigolds, corn, kale, all sorts of flowers, and everything that will need time to grow by late summer.

Magnolias, however, are in full bloom and are in the process of dropping all of their petals for the year. Blueberries, apples, pears, and spring bulbs are blooming and ready to retire sometime this month. Everything is running away like a speeding freight train. That's what's inspiring me at the moment.

What's next?

I have quite a bit to work on this month in preparation for summer.

▻ Case books for early June
▻ Add to body of work of original paintings for summer art fairs and online
▻ Sow basically everything in the garden to keep myself grounded
▻ Practice more photography and videography for you fine people
▻ Look into more education to reach my goal of building a robust retail presence with all sorts of things, slowly but surely - that far off distant star in my scope!

There are so many things to do! One thing at a time. The next thing on my list is those cased books and some more paintings. Thanks for hanging with me.
